The big Cross Over In the Marvel universe this year is Avengers Versus X-Men AKA AVX

AVX_ftr01

As the Avengers learn The Phoenix Is Headed back to Earth to found a host, It doesn’t take long for the Avengers to figure out  it must be headed towards one of the X-Men. Is this final act of a story line that’s been ongoing over the last few years that started with The Messiah Complex story line? Mutant population was once close to a million but after the debacle of Scarlet Witch altering the reality in the  House of M story line, the mutants are less than 200 in total population and there was no new mutant born in years. Cyclops is protecting Hope Summers Aka the Mutant Messiah the only new mutant born in years, and it’s that she as to live with the burden to be the chosen by The phoenix. Captain  America want’s to take into custody Hope and ask Cyclops and the X-men to  let them take her. And then, mayhem ensue.

So far, I like the story line, love what the did with they did on a series which they focus on two single character battling out like Magneto Vs Iron Man, the Thing Vs Namor and Colossus vs the Red Hulk ( SURPRISED  I was …really now there is a Red Hulk just like there is green and Red Cary?!)

Its a good read, I didn’t think at first that It would be that interesting but when you have an Epic battle between some of the most powerful super hero Ever created such as Thor, Iron man, Captain America, Spider-man, Wolverine, The Thing, Magneto.

And half way trough that tale, well, lets just says, there are a few good surprises!

It’s always a plus when one of my favorite artist, John Romita Jr is part of this big Pow WOW!

Honestly, I just read a  part of story,  I love my comic books, but I am not about to buy 35 or so issue at 4$ a pop! Anyhow, it is still nice the see the all mighty Avengers been kick around by the X-men!!

Written by Bran Micheal Bendis and Ed Brubaker and more.

Sin City 2005, 8.2/10 on IMDB http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0401792/

The movie was a mixture of three of my favorite Sin City tales, the black & white rendering of the images is like if you  were reading the bloody thing! Anti-Hero Marv is portrayed by perfection by Mickey Rourke and what a cast of actors! Famous quote Marv “This is blood for blood and by the gallon. These are the old days, the bad days, the all-or-nothing days. They’re back!”
